Low Carb SD Community Virtual Event from LowCarbUSA® on Vimeo.

As we inch toward regaining some sense of normalcy in our lives, we’re really looking forward to the day when we can resume our in-person meetups and events. We’re not quite to that point, but we’re very enthusiastic about an opportunity that has come about as a result of the continued social distancing.

We are extremely excited to announce a special free livestream event featuring LowCarbMD San Diego doctors Brian Lenzkes, MD and Kristin Baier, MD. The doctors will each be making presentations related to the ketogenic and low-carb lifestyle at this virtual event, to be live streamed Saturday, June 13, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. PDT.

The event is open to all, and can be streamed for free on the LowCarbUSA® website. The presentations will be streamed from TriSystem Health Network facility in San Diego, which had been hosting monthly Low Carb San Diego events until the pandemic hit. When we decided to stream the event, it made sense to make it available to everyone, regardless of where they live. You can view this event on Facebook, and we encourage you to share with your friends.

Dr. Baier will discuss how the ketogenic and low-carb diet can not only improve one’s metabolic health, greater blood sugar control, and lead to sustainable weight loss, but how it can also help those with autoimmune disease and migraines. She has personally experienced great success with the ketogenic diet, eliminating her chronic migraines and reversing the effects of lupus.

Dr. Lenzkes will speak on the importance of metabolic health in this new age of COVID-19. We have seen dramatic statistics showing how poor metabolic health and poor blood sugar control are the major contributing factor to complications and fatalities as a result of coronavirus. Dr. Lenzkes will discuss lifestyle changes that can dramatically improve one’s metabolic health and lead to sustainable weight loss, and an improved quality of life overall. With stable blood sugars, many people are observed with more energy, better more stable moods, and less stress and anxiety.

This presentation comes at a particularly exciting time for Brian and Kristin, as they prepare to open LowCarbMD San Diego, their new metabolic health and direct primary care practice on the campus of San Diego Christian College in the beginning of July.

Brian and Kristin first met at our LowCarbUSA® Boca Conference in January, and just two weeks later he tweeted their plans to leave the broken system in which the sickest patients yield the greatest revenue. Their new model of care focuses on giving patients hope, and a path toward metabolic health—a model that focuses on lifestyle changes that actually result in patients being taken OFF medications and REVERSING disease.

We hope you can join us for this informative and educational event.
